I'm genuinely not sure he'll score again this season - carried on from where he left off at Bolton

I have to say that I would agree with that statement. Failure to hit the target especially when the keeper dives out of the way is unbelieveable.

He just never looked like getting a proper connection with it... The commentators were saying the same thing about his shooting earlier in the game. Think he needs some new boots.

Looked a classic case of not making your mind up what you are going to do with the pen and sticking to it.
Saw PIG move, changed his mind and dragged it.

I think the comment about him being a confidence striker is correct. The bigger issue is as someone else mentioned, there isn't a better option.

What he needs is a kick up the arse from some strong competition. He's in the comfort zone and out of form.

It was apparently agreed that either Odemwingie or Dorrans would be taking the penalties and Pete said he was confident to take it, the rest is history!

Luke Moore would have put that away

Luke Moore would have put that away You may be right but his contribution up to that point woud have meant his being subbed in the first nano second

What about that one Ian Hammy Hamilton had for a hattrick once?

Brunt should be on penalties, or Dozza, would help his confidence as well. He looked lively today.
