He's no Joe Hart or Ben Foster eh?
He's seriously shit. I've had it with him being in goal. He doesn't inspire anyone. Time to drop and sell him in the Summer.
Myhill is NOT the answer long term, but I'd give him till the end of the season.
Carson can't handle pressure. He easily cracks. Stockdale the Foolham GK looked a far far more assured Gk

The poor-average players often make the best coaches......
I've said enough on Carson tonight, I've defended him for months so now I'm really pissed off!

He may not be the long term answer, but we really won't know till he's given a run of games. If that clown appears against Blackpool, he'll have 20,000 people on his back from the off, not just the usual few hundred in the Brummie. It just can't happen, and Di Matteo's got to understand that.

I suppose the longer we get treated as customers the more we'll act like them.

I first started watching the Baggies in the late 70's, and abuse was commonplace. The working class guy would say "I've paid his wages, I'm entitled to my view". Laurie & Cyrille were subject to vile racial abuse. It was wrong. Football has now swung too far the other way. You have to support your team with blind faith, not daring to criticise, in the ground or on the internet. The club even issue warnings against "anti-traveller" abuse. I'm not saying we should have a cauldron of hate towards our players, but surely, after backing them for 90 minutes, we are entitled to express our views and ask questions??

Booing at the end of the game I would have no problem with at all. I've done it myself plenty of times.
But that's not what we're talking about here is it. I think you mentioned what happened to Scott Darton earlier (apologies if not) and that was the most shameful thing I can ever remember from our crowd. Do we really want to go down that road again?

I suppose the longer we get treated as customers the more we'll act like them. I suppose so, but I think there's a point where even true supporters - and I mean in the traditional sense you're referring to - will lose patience when someone who's clearly not up to it (whether permanently or temporarily is a matter of opinion) is constantly being selected, when its clearly to the detriment of the team.

I don't think we do Freddy. What happened to Darton was a disgrace. I don't rate Carson, but I didn't boo him against Man U, I chose not to clap.
There is a sentiment on the internet though, that unless you are cheering, even when they are shit, then you aren't a true supporeter. I think it is unhealthy.

It's an outlet for fans to discuss things, which never existed before. You used to meet your mates in the pub and thrash it out.

Does anyone think Carson has gone backwards under Kiely?
I seriously hope that Carson doesn't start against Blackpool. He's just lost too much of the fans support.
He's our weak link even with 5 CB's out.
Brunt's reaction summed it up. Also hopefully Olsson realises why the Brummie gave him so much abuse last season. Regardless of what people say about the Brummie. It's always been quite unforgiving

I've said before that the stick Carson has been getting in the ground and on here has been excessive. He has to take blame tonight, but he has not been to blame for every goal conceded in the last two months.
I've made the point on another thread about supporting the team. The crowd reaction to him doing exceptionally well to reach half way from Tamas' woeful backpass against Blackburn was nothing short of embarassing.
RDM has to change him now. It's shameful that it is because the fans will slaughter him.

However, look at the first goal again from behind the goal and tell me that wasnt div 2 keeping.

But not without reason. Our fans are normally tolerant. He has bought this on himself. Are they? Are those the same 'tolerant' fans had Keily flicking the Vs for performing like a top end Championship keeper, at the top end of the Championship? I've said it elsewhere, Jonas was absolutely right against Forest last year. 1-0 down and fighting to stay in a key game and the fans turned. When did the fans last act as the 12th man when the team really needed it, when they were behind and struggling?

look at the first goal again from behind the goal and tell me that wasnt div 2 keeping. It was a shocker. What was Van der Sar's? It doesn't justify the ridiculous swell that has built up over the past few weeks, much of it unjustified. It's easier to find a scapegoat than admit that our team just isn't as good as we'd like it to be. No player scapegoat? Look at the manager. Otherwise, there's always the Chairman

The Pole in Goal wants away - he'd be a good man back between the 2 white sticks. Carson just needs the 1
