Didn't know this bye-election was on.
Great result though - someone who the establishment don't want in parliament.

Love him or loathe him the man can hold an audience, in a week when Cameron makes up a tale about a pasty and Miliband still fails to land a blow, Galloway steps up with a killer punch. He is bordering bonkers IMO but his mesaage was clear and welcomed by the muslim and the general public, get out of Afghanistan. I might disagree with some of his arguments to him reaching that message, but the message is sound. The BBC mus be excited, a slot on question time coming soon to a Town or City near you ;D

Aye, democracy is terrible eh? FFS If your idea of democracy is being so entrenched with one party that as a protest you want to change your vote but regardless of what the alternatives have to say you cannot bring yourself to vote for them. I know lets elect a nutter supporter of Ghadaffi and Sadam. Yep - that's true democracy. Bring on the 'Bradford Spring'.

He'll be another Tom Watson, allways on the news but never in his constituancy doing what he was elected to do.

We should ban them from future votes. Or ban elections completely, better still. For the record, GG is a tool. But he winds people like no other so is ok by me. I'd love to know what his campaign expenditure was. Could be setting all sorts of records.

one of my best pals is good mates with tom watson .......he said he is a top bloke plus he buys the beer when down the smoke Nice bloke maybe, but he doesn't do his job! Hopefully this will shot a bolt across cameron and milliband and tell them in no uncertain terms that they need to get out and tackle the real issues that people in communities care about or they will lose seats to marginal, one issue parties. I'll guess it even registered with the Libs, who are quietly rotting away in the corner.

Not that long ago our nation sold killer weapons to those two nutters, and then stood by as they killed people who would never vote for or support them. This was under that watch of both mainstream parties. Funny old thing Democracy

FFS If your idea of democracy is being so entrenched with one party that as a protest you want to change your vote but regardless of what the alternatives have to say you cannot bring yourself to vote for them. The major alternatives all say the same thing though, that's the problem. People voted for no major party at the GE but split the vote and got the worst of all worlds. Maybe they will now vote for none of the major parties and get rid of the scenario where a major party just has to wait for the current incumbents to be crap enough to get voted out. Pick your platitude It's just a mid term protest Lessons will be learned We will listen to the people

TTM slightly unfair on TW, I have reason to know a bit about this, he does (like a lot of Mps) tons locally but plays his profile nationally.

Pick your platitude It's just a mid term protest Lessons will be learned We will listen to the people And the winner is - 'Labour leader Ed Miliband said it was "incredibly disappointing" and the party needed to "learn lessons".' Sad replying to my own posts I know but in this case I just couldn't resist
