Revenge of the backbenchers and right wingers was always going to screw Cameron sooner or later, Clegg on the other hand knows he is doomed once the next election comes around.
Just when everyone in the Country thought that it could not be more of a shambles, Ed Miliband and Ed Balls peep around the stage curtain

It's a little late for Clegg to grow a pair of Kleggs.

It's a little late for Clegg to grow a pair of Kleggs. Ypou saying that the public really wanted him to stand up for the NHS rather than Lords Reform pal? This episode reeks of why politics should be free of politicians - the only time he's grown a pair over the past two years is over an issue that is all about party self interest. Given the kicking the country's getting at the moment I could not give a fuck about: a) Consituency Boundaries b) Lords Reform c) Gay marriage

an example of what a complete twat Clegg is. He is in deep deep shit and now needs to start saying we are different from the evil Tories so vote for us at the next election - where they stand every chance of being wiped out of existence. Let's hope so.
The deserving poor who are currently suffering from lack of job opportunities due to Thatcher's policies of 30 years ago want a job and don't give a fuck about the House of Lords. Not having tattoos like a road map of Paris across their neck and a face full of metal studs and a baseball cap welded backwards to their head and two 15 year old pregnant girlfriends might help their cause. But it is easier to blame Thatcher. Why have we got superb athletes from the same generation of kids?
Secondly, to have a major press conference to express his anger and stamp his little feet and scweam and scweam until he is sick, in the middle of these brilliant Olympics where people who really make a difference to their own lives and the lives and well being of the nation following years of selfless dedication to their sport, is obscene. He should be shot for this self indulgent childish outburst of petulence. Look at me, I'm important. Tosser.
Thirdly, Thatcher did more to destroy the sporting heritage of the country by making schools sell their playing fields to fucking Tescos and Sainsburys. That's why private education has contributed so much to the medal table. If you go to a state school your former playing field is now a car park.
All politicians are complete twats.

Amalgamating inner city constituencies and splitting rural ones is gerrymandering plain and simple. How exactly does redusing the number of MPs improve the democratic process? It doesn't, it's a means of rigging the ballot and it stinks.

Sod boundary changes, my beef is with Scotch and Welsh MPs having the right to vote on legislation which affects England but doesn't affect their countries. If you want a debate about the democratic process - what about that one? Numbers of MPs and boundaries are, compared with the West Lothian question, utter trivia.

Returning to the topic, I don't see where Clegg has to go. If he stays there will be trouble, if...
If the Libs made Cable leader and then left the coalition, things might change; there could be a bounce in the polls.
Despite Libs providing the greatest disappointment I can recall, I see no advantage in them being eviscerated - only fewer types of shits to choose between.

only fewer types of shits to choose between. That's the nail on the yed there mon. Whilst this government are reprehensible the thought of two centre-right parties being the only choice worries me and, unless the Lib Dems or Greens make some serious ground there will be no outlet for the left.

I don't see where Clegg has to go. It's unlikely he'll be in Parliament after the next election anyway, unless there's a huge shift of opinion in Sheffield Hallam.

I am sure the good people of Sheffield Hallam "Wo n't be fooled again" Doubtless he is lining up his MEP seat in Holland or Spain, using his family connections
Is he still keeping quiet about his wifes dealings with Cadburys?

whoever leads it makes no difference to me now i will never vote lib dem again locally or nationally, they signed a pledge however naive that was and then screwed those who we hope for to provide a brighter future into paying 3 times the previous amount, that is just wrong.
