I see nothing but positives - Good, competitive sport with a good natured crowd mingling together whoever they happen to be supporting and showing appreciation for any athlete who does well regardless of which country they represent. It's nothing like football because it doesn't have the tribal/parochial nature, i don't think that makes it better or worse, simply different. Yes you are right, i did forget to mention the spectators who have more than played their part. Any reservations i have is the way the media have reported it on occasion - but it was ever thus. When our athletes win they are superheroes, and when they lose they are national disgraces.

It's allways been the way, i do think people are finally wising up to it though following the battering the sun got over having a go at Hodgson's speech problem and the general public agreeing that our performance in the Euro's was very much a development for the future job.
