After 21games in the prem our history is …..
Year……....Pos…….…Pts 2002/3…..19th………16 2004/5…..20th………12 2005/6…..17th………19 2008/9…..18th………18 2010/11…16th………22
So we are currently exceeding our performance for any other year in the prem, and I suspect if we had attained this position by winning 1 then drawing and then losing a couple, everybody would be pretty happy.
The problem is of course that we had a good run, and have now had/ are having a bad run, but averaged out those runs have put us in a position possibly better than we could have expected at the start of the season. The general consensus was that we would be happy with 17th this year.
Runs can change round pretty quickly, as we have already seen and a bit of luck here and there would help. Hopefully a win against Blackpool would see the side regain confidence and go on another decent run.
Perhaps we need to get back to the expectation that we will be and should be in a dogfight for 17th position this year, but we definitely need to reinforce the team and as quickly as possible to give us a fighting chance.

A fair assumption, really. Not saying I'm not disappointed, especially against Villa, but that's the way it is. As soon as we get a couple of centre-halves fit/not suspended then push Scharner up again and then try and recapture what was going right.

Drop mozza and get him in there.
