I hope Carson's great disappointment is concentrated on his own miserable form, and general failure over a long period (not just recent weeks), rather than disappointment/surprise at Di Matteo's decision. He can in absolutely no way argue with being dropped - if anything, he's been shown greater leniency than any other Albion player I can remember.
He needs to realise he's been at fault for more than just the Fulham goal, whether it be failure to prevent preventable goals or his part in our general poor defending of set-pieces due to his failure to command his area effectively.

Good post. Carson is a decent bloke, a good friend to many a player who went through bad times, but he has not been Prem standard on the pitch since October - at least with any consistency. I respect DiM for continuing with his leader, especially necessary when flouncing fairies like Jonas and ScharnersFFS are doing their wurst. But it was time to yield.
