Padres and the Phillies (in 10) win. Paulie's boys finding some form and are making up ground. Blue Jays, Dons and Giants lose Red Sox beat the Mariners Fish beat the Buccos Mets crushed by the Crew. Bit of late handbags. Reliever D.J. Carrasco was ejected from the game after his first pitch took Braun’s head off. David Wright was removed from the game for fear of a revenge pitch (pUFF).

Brewers shut out by the Astros. THE ASTROS! 3 inter-league home games against the dismal Twins to come. At least they can amuse themselves at the AL pitchers trying to swing a bat.
Elsewhere….. The Dons beat the Padres
There’s wins for the Mets, Giants, Snetters, Blue Jays, Red Sox and the Phillies
Fish and Mariners lose

Phillies and Mets wins were real ding dongers. Mets still over .500. That's all I want this year.

Phillies and Mets wins were real ding dongers. Mets still over .500. That's all I want this year. And an end to Lager based gags! .500 might be a tall order for The Crew this year. 3 season ending injuries to starters in April means we're down to the bare bones. Not TPC bare bones, REAL bare bones. If it's possible to have an 'easy month' in baseball, then it looks like ours should be June. If we're not .500 by the end of that, we won't be this season.

Pads move off the bottom of the NLW. Unfortunately at trip to the cards is next (this should help out their L4 streak.)

Delighted to see the Mariners sweep the Rockies, as Mrs Spudgun follows the Rockies and was very quiet last night after our back to back home runs in the 3rd :-)

With 4 at the Red Birds followed by 3 at the Mets to come, you might be propping it up for a week or so yet mate. <cue 7 game winning streak>

Alex Liddi's grand slam against the Rangers last night was a big help in our 5-3 win.
Always love it when they intentionally walk the previous hitter and the next man up hits it out of the park :-)
Go Mariners!

Some big scores last night.
Padres run up 11 in beating the Mets. Giants score 14 to beat the Fish. Phillies squeeze past the Red Birds 10-9.
Mariners lose.
Night off for everyone else.

The Phils on a charge now and the Mets must have had their minds on the forthcoming series.
Or in reality the Phils fluked a win and will get their arses handed back to them on a plate by the Red birds next game.

Ash is going to the Phillies game, isn't he? Santana with the win. Pitching excellently at the moment. My sporting life appears to be on the change. Baggies 10th and the Mets still above .500 and it's June next week. COYB & LGM.

I'm running out of positives to cling on to for the Crew. All I've got left is our relatively 'easy' June, and the fact that we haven't played our regular bitches, The Snetters, yet. 8 games off a .500 but only 7 games back on the league leaders. We can do this, believe!* * no we can't.

A winning season is still all I'm hoping for. Anything else and Crockett might force me to go to a playoff game which could cause a problem at home.
